These terms set out how Foothills Appliance Repair works with you — from booking a visit to paying for a completed repair. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to them.
Quoted Upfront. Approved Before We Start.
No repair work begins until you've seen the price and said yes — no obligation.
Foothills Appliance Repair provides residential, in-home repair and diagnostics for kitchen and laundry appliances — fridges and freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and stoves and ranges — across Calgary, Chestermere, Okotoks, and the surrounding area. We service household appliances only; commercial and industrial units fall outside these terms.
You can book by phone or through our online form. We schedule arrival windows rather than exact times, and we'll do our best to keep you posted. To go ahead with a repair, an adult (18+) must be present at the address for the visit, and we'll need safe, clear access to the appliance and to power, water, or gas as required.
Most visits begin with a diagnostic to find the fault, after which we give you a clear, upfront quote. No repair work begins until you approve that quote. A diagnostic or service-call fee may apply and is disclosed when you book; where we proceed with the repair, we'll tell you how that fee is handled. Quotes are estimates based on the fault as found — if we uncover additional or unrelated problems once work is underway, we'll stop and re-quote before continuing.
Payment is due in full on completion of the repair, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. We accept card, e-transfer, and cash, and all prices are in Canadian dollars plus GST where applicable. Quotes are valid for 14 days. For special-order or non-stock parts we may require a deposit, and those parts may be non-refundable once ordered.
Need to change or cancel? Let us know as early as you can. Full details — including notice periods and any fees for missed appointments or no-shows — are set out in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We source parts from reputable suppliers. Some repairs need special-order parts, which can affect timing. If you ask us to install a part you supplied, we may do so at our discretion — but our warranty won't cover that part. Replaced parts are disposed of unless you ask us to leave them with you at the time of service.
Completed repairs are backed by our 90-day warranty. What it covers, what it doesn't, and how to make a claim are set out in full on our Warranty page, which forms part of these terms.
Our technicians' safety comes first. We may pause, decline, or reschedule a job if conditions are unsafe, if there's no safe access, or if a repair can't be carried out properly. We'll always explain why.
We carry out every repair with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law:
